Mia’s short stories, feature articles, and reviews have appeared in various online and print publications like CGMagazine, Live in Limbo, Hart House Review, and TOK. Mia is a recipient of the Youth Scholarship Award from the Tatamagouche Centre and Writers’ Trust Fund Scholarship.
Her debut novel Shade was published by Inanna Publications and launched May 2016 in Toronto. Since then, Mia has been speaking in schools and at conferences, reading at events, and doing publicity through interviews. In 2022, Mia published her first children’s book with her son William: Saber and Daisy Become Friends.
A frequent question Mia is asked is if she is working on anything else right now. Currently, Mia is playing around with a second novel – a thriller this time 🙂
